WEAVER

Dota 2 remains one of the world’s leading esports titles.

Scully originated seven voices:

·  Sven – A heavily armored melee hero known as the Rogue Knight. Wielding a massive sword, Sven specializes in dealing powerful physical damage while protecting allies with his strength and leadership.

·  Juggernaut – A masked swordsman who has mastered a unique fighting style. Juggernaut is one of the game’s most iconic carry heroes, renowned for his swift attacks and devastating sword techniques.

·  Dazzle – A shadow priest who combines healing, protective magic, and offensive abilities. Dazzle is valued as a support hero capable of keeping teammates alive during critical moments.

·  Morphling – An elemental being composed entirely of living water. Morphling can shift between agility and strength while manipulating water to overwhelm opponents.

·  Weaver – An insect-like guardian capable of moving through time and space. Weaver excels at mobility, surprise attacks, and reversing damage through temporal abilities.

·  Bane – A nightmarish entity that feeds on fear and dreams. Bane specializes in disabling enemies with powerful mental attacks and crowd-control abilities.

·  Sand King – A giant scorpion-like guardian of the desert. Sand King uses burrowing attacks, sandstorms, and seismic powers to control the battlefield.

BEHIND THE SCENES INTERVIEW:

Interviewer: In Dota 2, you voiced seven characters in total: Bane, Dazzle, Juggernaut, Morphling, Sand King, Sven, and Weaver.

David: Well, we didn’t record those at the same time. The first time we recorded—the first session I did we did four characters in four hours. Lots of fighting, attacking, yelling, and dying. Repeat.

Interviewer: Other than the yelling, any other challenges?

David: Hard keeping all those warriors separate vocally.

Interviewer: Your voice must have been trashed after that first session.

David: I think I blocked it out. (Laughs) I was going to say it’s still trashed, but I don’t want to rekindle those retirement rumors (see Halo).

Interviewer: [Laughs] Yep. Next.
